The staff was incredibly attentive and made me feel comfortable during my visit. Their professionalism, hospitality and genuine care truly set them apart! I can’t brag on this facility enough. They have been a Godsend, so happy that God led me here. I made wonderful new friends while receiving the best care, activities and therapy at Iva Post Acute. The activities were wonderful(especially the strawberry smoothies). It is decorated so pretty for Spring. I asked for some pamphlets before leaving so I can recommend them to my friends and family. I am so happy to be back on my feet but I am going to miss the staff so very much.

Rated from Great to Bad. 5 Stars Admissions, Caseworker, and Office manager were fantastic and very helpful! Kitchen staff were great and went above and beyond. Speech / Swallowing Therapist The Dream Team (Two CNAs that were great. They know who they are.) A cleaner who takes care of residents when their calls go unanswered by nursing staff. 1 Star Lazy staff on cell phones, chitchat, and even babysitting a grandchild unfortunately outnumber a few fantastic care givers. I visited every day and had to stay on top of simple things like changing cloths, BM issues, wound dressing, etc. The rare times I didn’t have to be an advocate was when the Dream Team was on duty. THE UGLY: 0 Stars I complained about cockroaches in the room until I knew it was a dead end issue. That was an easy fix left unfixed for 2 weeks. Three days in the same soiled clothes when I had a drawer and closet full of clean clothes. If the person responsible to dump trash came in the morning, the trash would sit full of soiled diapers until the next day because it was not the job of anyone else to dump the trash. It smelled so nasty in the room when this happened. Poop and urine were also left in an unflushed room toilet for hours because some staff were too lazy and uncaring to flush it. My loved one checked in with no wounds and ended up with two large wounds on his feet from blisters popping. Physical therapy would work our loved one on the wounded feet and leave bloody feet for night shift to dress. I was told by a day shift nurse that wound care was only done by night shift. I was later told by the night shift nurse that the day shift nurse was lying and just being lazy. One evening I went in and found the bleeding feet and blood stains all over the sheets. I demanded the wounds to be dressed properly and the nasty sheets changed. I returned 24 hours later to find my loved one on the same nasty bloody sheets! A traveling nurse, on her first time here, was so appalled she said she would never return here for work. The five-star Dream Team ladies would never have let this happen if they were on duty! SUMMARY: If you are like me, the bad and ugly items are all you will take note of and you will avoid Iva Post Acute like a plague. Don’t do that just yet! As we found with our loved one, you may not have a lot of choice. If your loved one is being discharged from a hospital to a “rehab” facility you will be asked to pick from places in the area their insurance will cover. In our case most of the nicely rated places would not offer a bed because the insurance plan will not actually pay for the stay. Let’s say that your loved one has Humana Gold. They will only be offered a bed at the less expensive facilities. These will most likely have the words Post Acute in their name. As appalling as the 0-1 star items were on my list, do not pass on Iva Post Acute if the lower end options are all you are offered or you live close to Iva. If I had to do it all again with lower end facilities, I’d pick Iva Post Acute over Greenville Post Acute and Piedmont Post Acute in a heartbeat. There is little to no good I could mention from the other two places. Iva Post Acute is the only one of three facilities I could find some five-star rated good things to mention. If you care about your loved one, you will visit this place, and others like it, every day to advocate for their care. The Dream Team ladies can’t be there all the time. Iva Post Acute has potential to be really good because there is a core of good caring people there to build upon. Until the lazy ones are weeded out, cellphone use by staff is stopped, and the leadership stops listening to excuses and gets more hands on, this place will never reach its potential. Meetings and story sharing with staff don’t fix most problems. Time spent in hands on auditing of your facility and staff and making tough corrective actions are the real way you fix these issues and prove that the residents there are real people and not just a bed that makes money for the corporate owners.

I can’t say enough great things about Iva Post Acute and their incredible team! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and supported. The nursing staff truly go above and beyond to provide compassionate, professional care. They treat every resident with kindness, patience, and respect, making a real difference each day. The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and well-managed. It’s clear that the team takes pride in keeping everything running smoothly and ensuring residents feel at home. The activities department is absolutely fantastic—they always have something fun and engaging planned, from games and crafts to social events and exercise sessions. It’s wonderful to see residents smiling, laughing, and staying active. The communication with families is also excellent. The staff keeps loved ones informed and involved, which really provides peace of mind. I highly recommend Iva Post Acute to anyone looking for a caring, community-oriented place for their loved one. It’s more than just a facility—it’s a family.

I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional care my mother received at Iva Post Acute. From the moment she arrived, the entire staff—from the nurses and CNAs to the activities and dietary teams—treated her with dignity, respect, and genuine kindness. Our family would highly recommend!

Sister is not being treated properly. She is a severe diabetic and has not received any insulin since she has been there. She’s been there over two weeks and only received 1 bath. Nursing staff is aware of our concerns but seems not to care.

Clean ane welcoming. Staff were very nice and helpful!!
We have a family member in there that had to go to restroom, I went to desk in the back where patients are, 3 girls were sitting there ,they looked up with their eyes, I cleared my throat to get their attention again as I know they saw me, one looked up so I said can someone come help Mrs. “ go to the restroom, she said I’ll get the aid, I said thank you. Went back helped family member then finally I saw a lady going by the room so I yelled for her, she said yes ma’am, I said I asked 30 minutes ago for someone to help her go to the restroom and no one has come. She said let me put this down, she came right back to help. Where the patients are smells like pee (very badly). But up front where you come in is fine. Years ago I saw the same thing there. Nothing has changed. If you love your loved ones, Don’t put them in there.

Very lazy staff. Doesn’t help you when you need it. If call light is on it’s a hour before they help you. I hated the way they treated my loved one. Do not send your loved ones here at all
